I once tried to start Twitter on my own a few years ago. I got no followers and did not know how to find people to follow. I abandoned the idea. Then I met up again with an old friend, Lynn, who for a small sum, set me up with Twitter for one shop and another Twitter for my other shop. She also, kindly, set up some 100 people to follow. Now I have 67 followers of my own already and within days had an order via Twitter! She also helped with a Facebook Business Page, Flickr, and About.Me and is now setting up LinkedIn for me. I guess I could have done this myself, if I really wanted the learning curve when business is very busy, but it was great not only to have it done for me, but also to have someone explain how to use it!
